Geocache Description:

Located in Hercules, this is somewhere that has fallen mostly by the wayside as a pathway, but is still accessible to those who know about it. You can approach from below, but there will be considerable bushwacking involved. It is advised that you attack this one from above and this is what the rating is based off of.

When I was a kid, I knew other kids who used to go to Hercules Elementary with me that would use this as a path to get home every day. It was kind of a long walk, but one that many of them made since there were no busses or their parents did not want to pick them up. Eventually the side of Hercules where these kids lived had it's own Elementary school (Ohlone) built, however for the first few years, Hercules Elementary was the only one in the area. At the time, they only created this pathway to a certain point and did not complete it. It is now overgrown but still partly usable, at least for our purposes .

This is a simple camoed Micro that has a surprise FTF prize in it. It can hold very small items and has a log. You will probably need a writing implement as the last time I checked it, the pencil had been misplaced. Please make sure that you hide it back where it needs to go as there may be a possible muggle factor from above. Averaged using my trusty old Garmin 12XL and it was acurate to 15 ft with 5-6 birds locked in pretty well.

Added Ticks and snakes to attributes just due to the fact that this is a somewhat overgrown area. There have been snakes in the area but it's been years since I've seen one around here. Ticks are a concern and it's best to be cautious with you and your 4 legged companion(s).

Re-replaced with a micro as the small container went missing and the original was found once again. Pretty funny!

Grats to AlbanySquad for the first (I think) to bushwack and turn it into a 3 star terrain rather than the rated 2 star.
