Geocache Description:

700m from carpark with a fairly flat walk

One of the worlds tallest waterfall drops in the southern hemisphere. Ellenbourough Falls Gorge.

The growing demand for timber lead to the construction of a road up to the plateau in 1910. Cedar was cut on the plateau from 1910 until many years later when the accessible timber was gone.

On the sign at the top it explains that before 1910 there was a bullock wagon trail to the plateau nicknamed Routey, states Lawrie Alley. Thus the name of the cache.

The cache is just hanging around at knoll lookout. Stay within the lookout balustrade and you will be able to retrieve this cache. Careful for it is a long way down.

While your there you can also take the stairs to the bottom viewing platform. 641 Steps to the bottom with a drop of over 200m, but remember you have to come back.
