The cache is easily accessible from a road bridge that crosses the Lancaster Canal, and along a short stretch of well maintained towpath. There is adequate layby parking just north of this bridge for at least two vehicles. However the gap to the tow path from the road at this point is probably too narrow for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Furthermore whilst the cache is set back from the waters edge care should still be taken with small children.
This is a popular stretch of tow path for walkers and care should be taken when accessing the cache.
The cache itself is a 35mm Film Canister.
Mr.B and myself have enjoyed walking along here on many occasions and felt sure this would make a great location for our first cache.
Please note that for the more energetic amongst you there's the potential for making this a pleasant circular walk.
