Geocache Description:

Check out this great trail located in the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve. Access from Hinch Road.

Cache is an ammo can about 80 feet uphill from the trail under dense conifer canopy. GPSr will likely have difficulty in this area so a detailed description follows:

I suggest walking the trail on the south side of the meadow and the following directions assume as much.
Use the trailhead waypoint provided as your starting point for venturing off the trail to find the cache. You know you're at the trailhead waypoint when you round a corner with a large spruce tree on your left with large limbs arching over the trail.
As you step over a big group of roots in the trail you have arrived - now for a little zigzag pacing up the hill!
From the trailhead waypoint walk 6 paces to the left (away from the meadow) to a small cedar tree then 14 paces to the right to a hollowed out stump (great hidey hole but you're not there yet) and finally 10 paces up the hill and slightly left to a large cedar.

Remember my paces are TWO footsteps!!

Be aware that the trail crosses a wet meadow at the middle and may be seasonally flooded.
