SciFi Series #1: Besh, Smesh Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

blackjohnson: It's been quite awhile since this one was attempted. The hide areas for the SciFi series are just too nice to only have so few come out and find them. Therefore, I suspect this series has ran its course and I am archiving most if not all of it.

Thanks to all who searched for this one. [:)]

Geocache Description:

I am starting a new cache series related to some aspect of SciFi Television, movies or books. The above coords are for parking along side the road. You could also park at N40 17.071 W 085 28.315 if you want a longer hike. Good luck with the puzzle and have fun. I hope to make this a trilology(trilogy)(read all the logs for this typo explanation) series.

Dr. Renobi Besh, PhD, the youngest space archeologist to receive a doctorate, was piloting his CR-90 ship with his navigation robot, AurekThree, to the planet Grek Peth Senth. Dr. Besh had paid good credits to obtain the very brittle ancient parchment which was inscribed with strange foreign symbols. Although his keen intuitive mind was unmatched at deciphering, a gift inherited from his legendary father, Dr. Indi Besh, he hadn't decoded the remaining message entirely other than he needed to go to Grek Peth Senth.

Renobi just intuitively knew the antidiluvian text contained the key to solving his unfinished research on "Primordial Global Positioniing Location Coordinates of The Humanoid Species." A topic of great importance to the Alliance since their own GPL system was failing and not one single Organian had the technical Brain Chips to rebuild it.

Suddenly, the ship's alarm sounded startling Besh. It was signaling that his CR-90 was caught in a Federation tractor beam. The Federation was also in search of the elusive information to solve the guidance system failure. Whichever side, Alliance or Federation, could solve the failure first, would determine who would rule the trade routes and control security of the Omicron Star sector.

Realizing he was doomed, for the Federation never took POW's, Dr. Besh quickly packed the unsolved parchment into a Cloaking Capsule along with his steadfast robot, AurekThree, and ejected it undetected to the planet below so the Federation could not get its dark hands on them.

While all is lost for Besh, blackjohson has miracuously stumbled upon the Methusalian document and herein provides it to you for solution. Hurry, you must find the vernerable cache before the descendants of the Federation or all is truly lost.

"You are the only hope of the Alliance, Oh Great Cacher!" Good luck determining the movie these symbols/language were invented!
