Geocache Description:

Located at Doe Run Lake. Parking lot is located at: N 38'59.217 W 084'33.054

This cache is located in a very beautiful area of wildflowers. One wildflower is the Wild Leek or Ramp which is an edible plant that many people in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee use in a variety of foods. It is a member of the onion family and has a strong onion/garlic taste. The cache could be tricky to find. However, it is located (***within 10 ft of the upper side of the trail***). Try not to search off the trail too much and trample the wildflowers. (You can use the small creek bed to find the cache. It is located on the edge of but not in the creek bed.) If you follow all the hints you will at least be within 5ft of the cache. Now comes the hard part - seeing the cache! This is 1 of 3 caches placed on the back side of Doe Run Lake to get cachers to explore this area. Though it is a long walk around the lake it is very peaceful and full of wildlife. It is the most scenic part of Doe Run Lake. Caution: The trail can become very muddy at times.
