Langs fylkesveien er dette midtveis mellom fergekaien på Venjaneset og Strandvik. Vinnesholmen har en lun badefjære mot Vinnessundet og fine svaberg for fiske mot fjorden. Området har et flott kulturlandskap for småturer på land med egen kulturløype som en også kan følge på fastlandet. En tidligere husmannsplass på holmen blir leid ut til feriegjester på ukebasis av Stiftinga Vinnesholmen. Vinnesholmen er knyttet til fastlandet med en kjørbar molo med parkeringsplassen for friluftsområdet på landsiden. Det er eget toalett for friluftsområdet og ankringsplasser for båter i Vinnessundet. Vinnes båtlag tilbyr også gjesteplasser ved lokale flytebrygger. Kommunal kai på fastlandssiden av sundet. Bak løen til den tidligere husmannsplassen går det sti utover halvøyen, i flott kulturlandskap.

The Vinnesholmen outdoor recreation area covers approximately 45 decares of a small island that lies on the Bjørnefjord, just off the outermost point of the Fusa peninsula, halfway along the county road between the ferry quays at Venjaneset and Strandvik.  

Vinnesholmen has a sheltered bathing beach that faces Vinnessundet sound and rock formations along the shore that are ideal for fishing in the fjord.  The area has a beautiful cultivated landscape and its own prepared trail, which is ideal for short trips.  The trail continues onto the mainland.  The Vinnesholmen foundation (Stiftinga Vinnesholmen) hires a former cotter's farm on the island to holiday guests, on a weekly basis. Vinnesholmen is connected to the mainland by a moveable breakwater.  The car park for the recreation area is on the mainland.  There is a toilet in the area.  Anchoring sites for boats are provided in the Vinnessund sound.  The Vinnes boat club offers mooring for guests at local floating docks.  A municipal quay is on the mainland side of the sound.
