Another great location for you to visit while in Hayes State park!
Parking is just off M134 &US12 on the left side...about 300'
from intersection. There used to be a home here...and a farm!
AS THE NAME IMPLIES, THESE ARE ADVENTURE CACHES! You WILL
encounter briars and other nuisance plants....NO REAL TRAIL leading
to this cache, we followed deer trails! You WILL have to pick and
choose your route carefully as the swamps come into play at times.
The difficulty of the route directly depends on how you choose,
just keep in mind that sometimes you need to go west to get north!
Although tree cover isn't much of a problem on this cache, the
other adventure caches WILL have tree coverage! The views from this
cache is worth the effort, I've been back there a few times and
will return a few more before this is even viewed by anyone.
Enjoy your visit, but please carry out what you carry in...this
is a very nice area and I'd like to keep it that way for others to
enjoy! The park staff are aware of this and all caches in Hayes
(but will not help find them if asked...sorry), they are very
friendly people! Give them a nice wave and a smile if you happen to
run into them...but if you didn't pay to enter, be prepared
to...our State parks are underfunded and in desparate need of
revenues. Our visits help ensure these parks will be available for
years and years to come!
