Geocache Description:

Gillis Park is a nice park in Beverly. It has a playground, basketball court, sand box, open field, and several benches looking out over the Bass River and Danvers River. The cache is down on the beach area of the park. This requires taking either a staircase on the left end of the park or a boat ramp on the ride side of the park down to the beach.

This is the second in a series of Beverly Park caches. This park has several names. The official name is the Gillis Park. It is named in honor of a soldier from the precinct the park is in from WWII. There is a small plague listing all of the soldiers from this percint who were killed in WWII at the entrance to the park. This is another great playground if you have young children.

The cache itself is a small tuperware container. It is started with the usual suspects. A small yo yo. A super ball. A whistle. A small stapler. .... When putting the cache back, be sure to push it as far into the hiding spot as possible. The covering will fit easily if the cache is all of the way into the hiding spot.

I hope you enjoy the hunt and enjoy the park.
