Geocache Description:

Bring your family to Oxbox Park and Zollman Zoo for some relaxing fun. Not a park and grab, but walk is not long and trail is generally an easy grass path until the last approach to the hide. Should be winter-friendly, as well, though I’ll have to confirm that later.

Cache is a camo’d prescription bottle, and contains only a log and a pencil.

My first hide, created in celebration of my 100th find. Some might call this a “micro in the woods”, but I don’t know if that is technically true. I do believe that one should create the types of cache they enjoy finding, and this is one for me.

I really like this rural park, which offers much for the family. Bring a picnic lunch, visit the zoo, let the kids play on the playground equipment. Hiking trails of various difficulty are available. There is also a small campground.

See their website for more information: (visit link)

Cache density in the park is very low (though there are, as of this date, a few caches of greater difficulty/terrain available), so expect more to pop-up here over time (I’m already planning my next cache for this park).

Drive past the zoo and campground access, and watch for the sign for the 3rd Bridge Picnic Area. That’s about as close as you’ll be able to park (unless you're camping here). It's still only a short walk. The campground attendant gets very irritated when non-campers drive through (or attempt to park) in the campground area.

Hope you enjoy Oxbow as much as I do!
