Geocache Description:

This is one of six caches along the Twenty Rod Road/Candlewyck Greenway in Newington. Work on the trail system is nearly completed, but it is still a work in progress. You may see evidence of this by white paint on the ground marking the trail, stumps and other things that still need to be removed. If you are interested in doing any trail work, please let me know.

What is now the trail used to be the main road connecting Rocky Hill to Wethersfield. As you walk, imagine driving your wagon through the woods.

Most of the walk along the trail is straight forward and probably more like a 1.5 to 2.0 terrain, however there is one section that requires a short walk over some bushes that have been cut down but still need to be removed and another section that has several trees across the trail and requires some caution to climb over.

The cache itself is a small Lock and Lock hidden in a common Connecticut style a short distance off the trail. It is not snow friendly beyond an inch or two.
