Step 5 of the Mountain Home Cacheaholics program.
Realizing that the caching pandemic has hit Mountain Home full
force, we decided that trips to Boise to fullfill the program steps
was unacceptable. So we have implemented our own program locally to
help you deal with your sickness. Each week we will place another
step for you to take on your road to recovery from this terrible
obsession.
Step 5 is an introduction to night caching. To
pass this step it must be completed after sundown. It can be
completed alone but will be much easier and more fun with two or
more cachers working together. So bring your flashlights, a compass
and lets get started.
Park at the posted coordinates and make your way to the power pole
marked 418. You will see what you will be searching for in the
middle of the eight.
Standing at 418 you will look west until you see a pair of “eyes”
looking back at you. Proceed to the “eyes”. You have just found the
first leg and now that you know how it works it will get easier
(hopefully).
Now you need to search WSW for the second leg. Proceed there.
Looking SSE should reveal the third leg of your quest.
West is the direction of the fourth leg.
North West will get you to leg number five.
From here search WNW for the sixth leg.
Look WSW and you should find the seventh leg.
Another pair of “eyes” will be looking back at you if you look SSW.
These “eyes” are guarding the final of this cache. A short search
behind the “eyes” will reveal the treasure that you have traveled
out here to find.
Have fun and good luck
