Geocache Description:

A quick cache located in the Butte. Keeping with the theme please only exchange small pins. Pins are welcome form all over the world. Happy Hunting.

The origin of pins and needles dates back to prehistoric times. Needles have been discovered in Egyptian tombs as well as prehistoric caves, and early pins were typically large and cumbersome, made of fish bones, ivory, and wood. During the Bronze Age, the first metallic pins were made, and automated production methods were introduced in the 19.sup.th Century. Current annual production of pins and needles numbers in the billions.
