A fun family spot on the Sacramento River. Picnic nearby along Riverside Drive, or park that big ol' gas hog at 41 09.068 122 18.373 just off the freeway. Trails lead to the cache.
We're suckers for places like these. We filled the tank at Castella, and felt tapped out so we returned to a favorite spot to hide this micro. It is a bright red Altoids tin hidden on the eastern shore (Eastern in a general sense, as in the Sacramento River runs north to south. Mapquest does show the cache correctly on a southern shore, as indicated in Markens' log entry.). Coordinates updated based on feedback from the FTF and another visit by us.
