MountainHobbit: Went out here today to see about re-activating this cache. Met two of the family, and they were fine with it staying, but... /they've/ encountered vandalism here too (and theft.) Anyway, with the highway closing for the summer soon, I decided it's for the best to let this one go.

Geocache Description:

Come here where once you could see the loveliest and most ephemeral of Cache Valley's scenic sights -- fields and fields of bright red poppies.

These fields were once bright red with poppies each May. I saw them myself one Memorial Day weekend many years ago. This year, however, I saw only a few scattered blooms.

If you happen to see poppies blooming, please share photos of them with us.

If you come and the flowers are not blooming, imagine the poppies of a different field half a world away. A short walk south from the second half of this multicache will bring that to mind.

Please do not park on the highway. There's a much better place to park behind the ridge.
