Here it is! Your official invitation to the 2nd annual Emerald Valley Cachers Geo Olympics!


Come test your caching skills against the best cachers in the World. August 24th and 25th at beautiful Richardson Park 5 miles west of Eugene. Richardson Park is one of many beautiful parks on Fern Ridge Reservoir. Reserve your camp site at the Lane County Parks reservation center online. Lane County Parks charges a $3.00 user fee. This years Olympic Event will feature:
The Decachalon - Ten micros hidden in the forest with only 30 minutes to find as many caches as possible. This is a team event.
5 Meter Micro Cache Dash - 5 meter sprint to the nano micro, open it, sign the log and race to the finish line.
There are many active caches around the lake, so bring a puzzle solver and spend the weekend caching with friends.
A night cache will be available as well as new caches hidden by guest hiders.
** A special award will be given for the best decorated campsite
A fun time will be had by all. And you never know, YOU may bring home the GOLD.

                FRIDAY NIGHT

                                          7:00 PM Dinner - Join us in Margarita Ville (AKA GeoOlympic Village) for a potluck dinner. Time to kick off the Geo Olympic fun after all that training - let your hair down one last time before the BIG event. What to bring - clearly a Mexican theme but bring whatever you want. Ideas include salsa, cheese, corn chips, Mexican seven layer dip, guacamole, refried beans, tortillas, olives, sour cream, fruit, taco shells, or whatever you feel like eating. Please bring food and camping chairs to site 49ish. Oh yeah - beverages of choice (if you are needing ideas, please note primary location of dinner).

10:30 AM to 5:30 PM Decachalon Starts
12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Lunch - Hot dog lunch available for a $2 donation(hot dog, beverage and chips)
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM 5 Meter Dash
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sudoku Challenge
5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Raffle & Medal Ceremony & Happy Dance Competition
