How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Venue, Pheasant's Way, Nr Holywell, just off the A55.
It is a pleasant little Caravan and Camping site with 6 Electric Hook-Up Points (6 already taken) and takes 6 Caravans (6 pitches already taken), and lots of tents. Should be ample 240v availability for charging batteries etc.
Camping from 17th-19th August. Come early and/or stay on later. Arrangements can be made via Team Marzipan.

Summer Holidays so book early (so I can give the site owner numbers, thanks)
Flat/Level campsite. On site there is a portable WC block; the site owner is in the process of installing a shower. The site has open views of Moel Famau and the Clwydian Range and is south facing.
Charges:
Caravans (2 Adults) £8 Per night
Tents (2 Adults) £6 Per night
Electic Hook Up £2 Per night (1st to pay 1st to have)
Day Visitor's Will have to park just outside the gate.
Dogs allowed (must be keep under control)
Fun Weekend = Cache cache cache

Programme:
Friday Night - Hash/Cache/Cluedo?? (in the dark), bring your torches. Competitions.

Saturday 9.00am - juggling (or learning) for the early birds. Please bring some balls eg tennis, golf etc.
Saturday - Caches going live, at 12pm (11 so far - see list below) 1 walkable (from the site).
Saturday 5pm - special game for the kids round the campsite
Saturday teatime 6pm - communal barbecues get together (storyswop), did anybody else break out of Jail??
If you're visiting for the day there will be food and drink provided at the barbecue. So please let us know in advance, thanks. (The more the merrier!!)
Talking about walkable, how many cachers would like to see me walk on GLASS on Saturday night??

BAD NEWs Gail has had a little operation (on her left wrist) and is incapacitated, so I need someone to catch and throw fireclubs with me on Saturday night (in the dark) any volunteers

Sunday 9.00am - again for the early birds - paper plane making and throwing competition
Sunday - more local caching.

Throughout the weekend -
a) various competitions with small prizes, and ongoing games eg large and small Jenga - who can build it the highest before it falls; fishing bottle - make it stand up, grass skiing race - teams of 3.
b) impromptu activities eg group skipping (need more than 2 people), stilt-walking (large and small, with safety pads available).
c) Bobby Robert's Super Circus is in town, in Rhyl beside the cache - Race GC13KGX, 9 miles away. We have half-price tickets available.
Local food -
good Chinese take-away (less than 3 miles away) will deliver FOC, we have a menu on-site
there is a pizza delivery service in Holywell (still to be sorted)

PS, are there any BACKGAMMON or CARROM (cachers) players out there coming . I am desperate to play even if its only a friendly game!!

There is an existing cache just down the lane 0.2m , Big M (GC10PGX).

Cachers breaking out of Jail???
New series "GET OUT OF JAIL FREE" set by The Head Warder - Happy Landins (GC140K5)
If you are going to escape (by doing all 10 caches) do allow yourself approx 6 hours, then you will be FREEE.
You will get to see a lot of North Wales, fantastic views, back roads and country lanes, footpaths, mountains, woods, streams, the seaside, Sunny Rhyl, then freedom.
The breakout started on Friday 13 July with the new team - G6JLC (John + Louisa) getting out first under cover of darkness (FTF all 10 caches). It wasn't unlucky for them (Fri 13th). Close on their heels in the early hours of 14 July was Phil of (PhilPamAndRob fame over 200 FTFs to their name).
You must read the logs to see how they evaded capture!!(see Bookmark)
