This cache should be an easy find for those willing to get to
it. Located a fairly short walk up the trail from the Elbow Fork
trailhead in Millcreek Canyon, and on the way to Mt. Aire (where
there are currently a couple of hides worthy of attention:
"Mt. Aire" (GCG6PC) and
"Wasatch Workout - Mt. Aire" (GC12BBR)). We love this area, the
trails are great and we've seen lots of wildlife here. We thought
it deserved another cache.
Keep in mind that until early summer, the "Winter Gate" is
closed, so there is a walk (or bicycle) up the road (~1.25 miles)
to the Elbow Fork trailhead. Trees and the canyon location may make
getting a good reading a challenge, but we were able to get good
signal when we made the placement. Also, remember that there is a
$3.00 fee (2009), payable upon leaving Millcreek Canyon... a
bargain at twice the price!
The cache is a camo'd Lock-n-Lock box. Original contents
included a FTF stipend. There was a pen, but it's always a good
idea to have one of your own along just in case. Good luck.
