Geocache Description:

Situated on the shore of Upper Lough Erne.

Small tablock box in a black fabric bag containing the usual extremely valuable items.

This is a pleasant area for a picnic and you can watch the comings and goings on the Lough. Nearby is St Ninnidhs Well. St. Ninnidh was a grandson of the High King Laoire, who was born in Donegal and from an early age it was seen that he was interested in religious matters. St. Ninnidh preached along the South shore of Lough Erne making the island of Inishmacsaint his headquarters around 523AD. He likely journeyed up and down the Southern portion of Lower Lough Erne in a hollowed-out boat, coming ashore and making his way inland to meet people and spread the gospel.
