Geocache Description:

Short steep climb up to top of banking, then flat walk along

PART OF JIGSAW CAN BE FOUND IN THE CACHE, PLEASE BRING BACK TO THE EVENT WHERE ALL WILL BE REVEALED

This cache is set along the former Arbroath and Forfar Railway.

The line opened in 1839 and by 1848 a portion of it was part of the main line to Aberdeen from the south, via Forfar. The line had to be re-gauged to become part of this network. The Forfar to Guthrie section of the line remained open after the closure of the line as a through route. Today a short portion of the line remains between Arbroath and St Vigeans Junction.

This cache is one of many that has been set for the Scottish Cache Bash – Gathering in the Glens 2. Page released early so you can plan your route. Cache not available for logging until the bash.
