It started 3 weeks ago.....or so I thought.
A friend of mine and his partner, 60CSX, were having a hard time communicating. E-Trex and I invited 60CSX to stay with us for a week for some time to think.
On the second night, all three of us decided to go to the April WSGA meeting. We met lots of new people and had a lot of fun. A fellow chacher asked where we were from and I replied "Bonney Lake." The man looked at us and said, "not very many caches there."
So on the way home from the meeting the tree of us planned a cache hide. By the time we got home we had picked a location and a name for the cache. We agree that Monday morning we would start getting waypoints, one reading a day, Monday through Friday.
Monday morning we got to the location. E-Trex and 60CSX sat down side by side to collect their data. There was a small discussion about the data but I thought nothing of it.
Tuesday at the cache location E-Trex made a scene. He wasn't even close to the numbers from the day before and he refused to explain himself. So I thought that some morning caches would calm E-Trex down.
At the first cache 60CSX stayed in the car so E-Trex and I could talk alone. E-Trex was leading the way while telling me how "dependable, trustworthy, and accurate" he was. He pointed straight ahead and said "come on, just 150 feet to the North."
LIAR! He was pointing towards the horizon where the sun had just risen. Anyone could figure out that is east! I didn't say anything, but inside my heart broke. Five years together, could it all have been based on lies?
Wednesday's and Thursday's data got a little better but the drama continued. By Friday we didn't bother to collect any data.
So there it is. Cache location is at waypoints collected by 60CSX, taped inside the container are E-Trex's waypoints. Please come sign the petition to get E-Trex into some sort of therapy, he really needs your support. BRING YOUR OWN PEN PLEASE.
If he refuses to go? I hear 60CSX has lots of siblings that have his features.
