Geocache Description:


Minis, a picturesque village, in West Romania near Arad.

Walking down the mainstreet, when the eveningsun covers the yellow houses with gold varnish, when the last birds sing their song and dogs bark friendly from behind the closed gates, when a late cowherd passes through the streets with his herd, when people come together in the golden eveningsun after a day of hard work, when you look up to the last hills of the Zahrand mountains and see the green slopes, covered with vineyards.....



...then you feel like taking part in an ancient fairytale. At first sight nothing spectacular, but look very well and you will see little jewels of daily life in just an ordinary little village in Romania.

Tip: In Minis is a nice little camping, with all comfort you need, called "Route Roemenie"; indicators along highway E 68 will show you the way. The owners Anna and Cornel speak Romanian, Dutch, German and English. The camping is a good base-camp for visiting the unknown jewels of a country, that deserves to be discovered!

Maintenance of the cache: Because we don't live in Romania, our friends Camelia and Alexander Oncu, who live in Lipova, will maintain the cache.
