Schipp Road 02 - Creek Crossing Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, trail_geek, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

It is recommend you park at the end of Schipp Road.  The cache is located just off the easy part of the Schipp Road walk and hence is very kid and pram friendly. The "climb" to the cache is nothing of note, but does provide some nice views all the same.

The cache is a 2 litre Sistema container hidden under, well a bush.  You will find it contains the usual grab bad of swag, logbook, pencil and pencil sharpener.

This cache is placed to encourage you to "Take 30" and continues my hills series of caches. This one takes you just a little bit further along the lower reaches of the Schipp Road Walk, a 4 km circuit walk.  There are two other caches in the vicinity which can be easily ticked off at the same time. Mind you, I do suggest you take the walk to come at the one to the west from above. The more direct route is well a climb!

While I would not want to discourage summer finders, this would be a great location to visit in winter with everything green and the brook in full flow. There is also a great picnic spot at the car parking area and there is a stream for kids to play in and search for tadpoles and frogs.

If you wish to make any comments please post a log or email me. Please log your find in the cache and on Geocaching.com. Please no hints or multiple logs, but please do leave a photo or two. Phone a friend is allowed, but hopefully not required.
