It is necessary to have a kayak, canoe, or small john boat to get to this cache. Once on land, it is simple to find... the difficulty is in getting there... but it is worth it!
The cache is a larger cammo-ed lock & lock container. It is secured with a tether to insure it doesn't float away if the water level rises. There is a $5 Walmart gift card for the first-to-find prize. The tunnels were originally ditches cut to dry out the land for mosquito control. Mangroves grew in and a 90 year-old man has kept these "tunnels" open and well marked. There is a map with trail marker numbers with the included photos.There is a public launch ramp that is a "Pay & Display" for 50 cents/hour for parking at N26 50.076 W82 16.159. Also, there is a private launch ramp for $5 per unit at N26 50.067 W82 16.087 that closes at 4:30 PM
