Geocache Description:

Type: TCDNSK Direction: East&West RV Access: Yes

Cache is an easy stop located in a small park along Main Street.

This cache is located in a small park near a mural depicting the history of the town of Morse. In the early 1900s the town had many fires in the downtown area. To prevent fires from spreading, concrete 'fire walls' were erected between many of the buildings. The last remaining wall was recommissioned as the canvas for the mural in 2000. For more information about the town and its fire prone history, visit the plaque on the side of the twice burned Elkhorn Hotel, also on Main Street, or the 1912 School House turned Museum on the West side of Morse. The Museum itself is worth a look for those with a bit of time to spare and admission is free. All services are available in Morse, including a small cafe, pub, grocery store, and Co-op gas station (open only during the day). There are also washrooms, a campgrounds, playgrounds, a small golf course, and a picnic area just east of Main street.

Cache is a small container, please remember to bring your own pen. There is a small Morse pin for the FTF. Stealth is necessary as the cache is along Main Street. Not recommended at night, as neighbours may become concerned. Ample parking is available, including the most unique arrangement around - a parking lane right down the middle of Main Street! Please let me know if cache coordinates need adjusting.

Cache is also near Birds, Saskatchewan GCMYFE. It is NOT near Sand Castles Cache GC1566.
