Broken Wheel Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

NHPride: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a multi cache to show the designated route. Follow the stages to the cache and return the same way.
This old trial goes near an active granite quarry. Do not go into the active quarry area.

Broken Wheel
The cache has a lookout point that is spectacular. But it is a fairly steep climb to get there.
There will be a very short section climbing over granite blocks (this will be dangerous when icy). May require the use of hands. Not recommended for night time cachers.

For a short ways, this trail follows privately owned/maintained Mountain bike trails along the abandoned railroad tracks. It is on the Millstone Hill Touring Center trails in Websterville, VT. I received permission to use this section of trails to allow geocachers to see the look out.

The Millstone Hill Touring Center (visit link)
has created a series of trails around the historic granite quarries. They have more than 50 miles of well maintained trails for hiking, biking and X-C skiing. The Millstone Hill Touring center is working on even a larger project that will connect several communities. They usually ask a fee to use their trails, but have given permission to geocachers to use this section of trail to seek this cache. If you would like to use these trails for hiking, biking and X-C skiing, please go to there website and support these wonderful trails.
Please follow these directions. At the trailhead N 44* 09.324, W 072* 28.404 where there is a gate. Parking is no longer allowed here.
You will have to park elsewhere.

Do not try to take the road thru the active quarry area. It is restricted and dangerous.
