Geocache Description:

A small micro cache with log only. Bring your own pen. Please do not block the driveway.

Salinas Fire Station One. Constructed in 1982, this station serves the areas of Old Town Main Street, South Main Street, Mission Park, University Park, Rico/Rossi, Lower Soledad Street, and West and East Market Street to Highway 101. Engine 5311, Truck 5371, Paramedic Rescue 5361, HazMat 5360, and the on-duty battalion chief work out of this station. The minimum staffing at Station One includes one battalion chief, three captains, two engineers, and three firefighters. Rescue 5361 is staffed with at least one paramedic every day. Additionally, this station serves as the primary maintenance facility for all Salinas fire apparatus, employing State certified mechanics who are also trained firefighters.
