Alas, after over 10 years and 274 finds, yet another “snake” has “died”. Writeup has been modified accordingly, final is still at the same location. (And C. R. still hasn’t called me.)
SO,
1. Go to the given coords
2. Count the number of vertical black “snakes”; this is “N”
3. Final is ABC feet from the given coords; bearing (true) from given coords to final is XYZ degrees
where A = 5 - N
B = 6 - N
C = 3 - N
and
X = N
Y = 3 - N
Z = N + 3
(String A, B & C and X, Y & Z together into two 3-digit numbers)
