Geocache Description:

Easy to get to and parking near cache---care should be taken as minor rock climbing may be encountered

This cache is located adjacent to an old version of Hwy 11(Bethune Drive) just north of Gravenhurst--the original highway was replaced around 1950 but prior to this it was the route north--As with many of the old routes they tended to shadow the railway on their way through the countryside--Reflect on the memories and envision the types of vehicles passing by when driven, in most cases, by our grandparents--Be sure to use the parking co-ordinates below and walk down the roadbed to get a feel of the size and contour of our early roads--parking available at N44 56.192 W079 20.993
