With a lead coloured sky through which lighting flashed overhead, the Mayoress of Burnley open the new Ightenhill Park on 25th of June 1912.
some 95 years on the Park flourishes today with the help of The Friends of Ightenhill,The friends have spent some £4000.00 on bringing the Park back to life with an arrangement of flowers and shrubs. Please respect the work that has gone into the park when hunting for the cache
