The Story So Far …

It's a cold winter’s evening in 1971 at Sheffield Midland railway station and a young couple are having a conversation.

‘Please don’t go love is all it takes to overcome our predicament; my life has always better with you’.

‘But I am a musician I live by the groove, I belong on the road. Give me one good reason why I should stay? I always have always will be travelling’

‘You give me something I have never had before, a crazy love, you satisfy my soul, please say it ain't over, it’s never too late to change you mind, I am so glad I caught you in the nick of time.

‘I know I am selfish but the ‘Silver Bells’ are my life but I will never forget you in all my living years.’

As he finishes his sentence the guard blows his whistle and waves his flag, the driver acknowledges with the short blow of the locomotives horn and the 6.32pm train departs for London St Pancras
