Geocache Description:

Located in a picturesque north Lancashire village only minutes away from the M6 motorway. The cache itself is wheelchair and stroller accessible.

I resided here for three years back in the 1980's and is perhaps one of my favorite Lancashire villages.

It lies just one kilometre from the M6 motorway. Its centre is an open and unique village green which includes both a cross roads and slip roads in the form of a diamond shape. In early Spring the Green is ablaze with daffodils planted by the pupils of the local Primary School.

The village boasts a pub (The Eagles Head), a village store and Post Office, the Parish Church of St Cuthbert's, a recently refurbished Village Hall, a C. of E. Endowed Primary School, and a War Memorial, all of which have been featured in the 'Best Kept Village of Lancashire' Competition which was first won in 1999 and again in 2004.

When you locate the cache then please use stealth tactics to remove it from its location and, in turn, hiding it again. Finally, ensure it is hidden and placed in exactly the same location that it was found.

There are two additional hints that relate to the cache name itself. As always with geocaching, remember to think outside the box.

Happy hunting and I hope you enjoy your visit to this pretty little village.
