Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache located near Peter's Creek, Alaska

The Cubs Scouts of Pack 228 wanted to set up their own cache so this is it! The nickname was one of four suggested names, but the boys liked this one the best. As their Cubmaster, I sure hope they weren't thinking of me! The cache is located just off a popular trail near Mirror Lake and is accessible all year round. The trail head is located toward the lake and just to the left of the parking area. It is a marked cross country ski trail in the winter. The terrain is pretty flat, but muddy at times in the spring and summer months so that's why we rated it a 2. There's lots of Devil's Club in the area, so be sure to wear long pants and a good pair of hiking shoes. The cache is a camouflaged ammo can with many Scouting related items and a few other surprises as well! FTF gets an official Scout folding knife. The boys really enjoyed setting up and placing this cache. They are all excited to see who will find it first. They are also hoping some geocoins and travel bugs make it into our cache, so if you've got any you'd like to leave we'd be happy to provide a home for them.
