Geocache Description:

A walk near the heart of Bodmin Moor.

Garrow Tor is a 330m high rocky hill to the south west of Brown Willy. It`s a significant walk from any direction but its quietness & views make it worth the effort to get here.
The simplest route is from the west following the footpath that runs past "King Arthur`s Hall" (another cache spot). The closest parking is on Emblace Downs, by the side of the road to De Lank Waterworks. For those exploring Brown Willy you can reach Garrow via Butter`s Tor. At the southern end of the Brown Willy ridge look for the marker posts leading down into the valley & cross the footbridge and stile. Stick with the fence line heading southwest then northwest & when you drop into the next little valley, look for the clapper bridge by the ruined cottage (waypoint CB) . There is also another crossing point about 600metres south of the clapper bridge (waypoint CG), so you could do a little loop on the way back. The latest edition of O.S. map "Explorer no.109" is particularly useful if walking in this area as "Right To Roam" access areas are shown in detail.

The cache is an 800ml box hidden in rocks near the top of the hill.
