Geocache Description:

A slightly less than 1 mile walk along the beach at Bracklesham to the cache which is an ammo box. I recommend you check the tides as this walk is most pleasurable at low tide when you can let your geo-hounds off the leash and you can have a paddle as you walk along.

This location is great for fossil hunting. My family have found hundreds of shark and ray teeth through the years. They are from the Middle Eocene which is about 50 million years ago. The best place to look is at low tide amongst the fine debris on the waterline while you are paddling along. Don’t worry if you can’t find any – there are a few examples in the cache but please don’t take them!

Parking is in the seafront car park. There is a charge from 1st March to 31st October if there is a parking attendant present. Please do not park in East Bracklesham Drive which is a private road, and anyway, you’d miss the nice walk!

Oh, and you might find gardening gloves useful for retrieving the cache! Please do not hack at the bush, if you look carefully you should be able to spot it using your cachers eye!

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE TRAVEL BUGS IN THIS CACHE!

The cache has been discovered accidently by several people over the last couple of weeks and I believe it's existence is known by residents at the neighbouring caravan park. I don't want to archive the cache but I equally don't want to see anyone's TB or Geocoin go missing.
