Kiki_bianca was able to secure the
Carousel Building at Goddard Park for the second Pig Roast
(Thanks!) for 21 July 2007. The event will run from 11:00am until
4:00pm or later. There will be at least one new cache placed and
listed in support of the event.
This is a Rain or Shine
Event.
Things are just starting to gel, so I will add to the list of
events as we get closer, including planned times. Since there is a
beach nearby, bring a swimsuit if so inclined. The kids should
definitely bring one - the water balloons were a big hit at last
year's Roast.
* Lunch - 12:00 - See below
* Kids Games - 12:00-2:00 (I picked
up water balloons!)
* Two Games - 1:30 (A good knowledge
of all things geocaching will help) - I need volunteers for
"celebrity cachers" and contestants
* Raffle - 2:00
* Geo-Bingo - Find 5 caches, collect
bingo numbers and hope for the best "bingo card" - 11:00 - 2:30

For the lunch, I will provide hot dogs, grilled to order. If
there is something you would like grilled, feel free to bring it,
and either have me cook it, or I'll be willing to share cooking
duties. Please bring an item for sharing according to the list
below:
* A-I caching name bring veggie,
fruit, or salad
* J-Q caching name bring a beverage
(NO ALCOHOL!)
* R-Z caching name, bring chips,
pretzels, or snacks.
Please use this as a guide. If you have a specialty that doesn't
fit the above list, please feel free to bring it. Please post a
note with what you plan on bringing, so we don't get 47 bags of
chips and no salads! There will be grills and a couple of
coolers.
Parking for the event will be in the beach parking lots.
Donations to offset the cost of the Pavilion will be greatly
appreciated. There will be a donation piggy bank at the sign in
table.
FEES: There are no fees to enter Goddard!
PARKING INFO: Please park at the beach parking
lot (past and below the carousel building). There is a limited
number of handicap spaces in a small driveway loop which comes off
the main road just before the building. Thanks for your
cooperation!
