To set out this series, it was necessary to skirt round cows with calves, wade through bullocks, pet elderly horses, ignore a very defensive farm dog, figure out rerouted footpaths, blaze a trail through an uncut meadow and negotiate a stile obstructed by building work; nothing like a few additional challenges! Despite all that, it is a pleasant area with good views across the valley.
The name of the cache comes from the fact that the three locations, like perhaps the setter himself, have all been around for a while, and have all seen better times 
.
