Mr Emu: Alas, as of December 2009, Parks Victoria do not permit geocaching in the Otway National Park, and this lookout falls within the Park! Thought I might be able to keep it, but no. Time to go :-(

Geocache Description:

Mr Emu's first cache brings you to a spectacular part of the Victorian SurfCoast that is popular with both tourists and locals.

The significant marine environment is now protected as the Point Addis Marine National Park. Whales and dolphins can sometimes be seen as they swim past this point. There is more information here.

Surfers enjoy the powerful swells from the Southern Ocean that wrap around the point and continue on to the world famous Bell's Beach and beyond.
Indigenous communities, particularly the Wathaurong, have an ancient connection to this sea Country.

Access is along a boardwalk that you will not need to leave to get to the cache. There are no steps, thus making it wheelchair accessible. However an assistant would most likely be required for the final retrieve, so it cannot be rated as such.

The difficulty rating is due to the high number of tourists that can be in the area in Summer.

The cache you seek is a 400 ml Sistema with a logbook and an assortment of small swaps. Please make sure the cache is not visible when you replace it.
