Pulgas Pinnacles Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

PurplePeople: This one's had a good run, but we've decided to decommission it and free the space, so some of the newer cachers in the area can do hides up here.

Geocache Description:

Just doing our part to turn the new Woodrat Trail in Pulgas Preserve into a geocaching power trail.

One of us 'previewed' this trail in early winter 06/07, before official opening, and located an interesting view. But we decided to wait until others had made some placements up here before jumping in. Fortunately, this spot was still available:

If you take a look along a bearing of 80 degrees magnetic, and down, you may spot in the mid-distance a pair of rock pinnacles, on the other side of the gully you probably followed to get up here. Not exactly comparable with their namesakes to the South, but an interesting contrast to the sandstone you walk over up here. We don't know of any direct approach to these formations, and don't suggest it given the proximity to housing.

You're looking for a camo'ed spice jar, starting out with some typical geotrinkets.
