Geocache Description:

A visit to an interesting old bridge. This cache was placed by Gribbin and adopted by Trevose1965 on 10th September 2008.

This three arch bridge crosses the Fowey river 1 mile east of St Neot. It was built in 1412-1413 but incorporates parts of an even earlier structure. Widened in the 18th century it has now become redundant following the construction of a new bridge in 1929. The roadway over the bridge is likely to be closed off soon just leaving access for pedestrians.
Please don`t park on the bridge itself, there is space on the roadside just east of it. The cache is a 330ml screw-top jar.
