This is a small Lock and Lock container hidden in the northern
section of the Tackapausha Preserve. In the area of
Long Island Dinosaur, one of Long Islands first cache hides.
I walked up from the museum parking lot and crossed a few roads
along the way to reach the northern section. If you hike from
there, you'll need to cross Sunrise Highway. The streetlights
nearby will give you some breaks but it's still precarious. One of
the openings for the north section is right here: N40 40.885 W73
28.963 You could park near there for an easier hike that doesn't
involve any highway crossings. I didn't park there so I don't know
of any parking restrictions. Also be aware of the leaves of three.
I tried to keep the cache in a clear area but there is plenty of it
throughout the preserve. It is avoidable if you stick to the
trails.
I hope you enjoy the hunt.
