Geocache Description:

Hidden on the moors, with views in all directions. Steepish walk up from Gribdale Gate and then a flatish walk to the cache.

This cache is accessible from a number of directions and also has a number of other caches within a mile or two.

We would recommend parking at Gribdale Gate N 54.29.455 W 1.05.241.

There is a steepish set of steps up to the moor, then a well defined path followed by a pair of tracks.

There is an alternate way out of the car park up a more gentle curving slope for those who dont fancy the quick way up.

For the start of the tracks we have put some waypoints so you can avoid heather yomping. For the end near the wall the tracks start between a hole in the wall blocked by a "fence" and the fir tree that hangs over a long way.

Why did we put one here ?

Simply because its one of our favourite places to help get away from it all and we have enjoyed visiting the other caches round and about, so thought it was time to return the favour.

The name, the 3 moors around it are :-
Great Ayton Moor, Newton Moor and Hutton Moor

The 8 views are because you have views in all directions, the 8 we chose today were Highcliff Nab, Errington Woods, North Sea, Guisborough Woods, Top of Roseberry Topping (Odin's hill), Cleveland Hills, Bilsdale and Captain Cook's monument - most of which have caches hidden nearby.
