Geocache Description:

This puzzle will take you on a tour through parts of Transylvania County that few people live to see, but that are an important part of our local history. The cache is a small, brown glass bottle with a log and small items. It will be necessary to have a vehicle to reach the different puzzle sites. A Transylvania County map is strongly recommended. Please be respectful of these private areas and the people who rest here.

The above coordinates will take you to the first puzzle spot. There are four puzzle locations in all before the final cache.

A. This small location honors some of the first citizens of Brevard. It would be best to park in the large lot nearby. Look for the third King who despite being a bit irregular was a joy to the world. In what month was he born?

B. Becky used to attend this small, white mountain church. Mary and her little lamb are now asleep with Jesus. How many letters are in Mary's last name?

C. This is the site of an old church built in the 1860's for South Carolina residents before the Civil War. St. Paul loved this peaceful, level spot. You may need a Porter to carry you up the hill to an unusual stone marker. What day in February did John leave Marilyn?

D. The McGaha's turned in Loxley Woods on Dragon Tail Road. After a short walk up hill, rest in the shade of a large tree with Ellen. How old would she have been on her next birthday after she departed this earth?

You must be deathly tired by now. The final cache is only 5 miles away located near a peaceful, but very popular spot for a picnic and swim.
