Come and pit your knowledge of geocaching, particularly local caches and cachers against the best in the Western Cape, plus a special guest from up country!
Everyone meet upstairs at Mitchell's Brewery in the Waterfront at 6PM on Saturday, 9th June, for a rollicking evening of good old fashioned geocaching quizzing.
For those that can't be there by 6, quiz will most likely only start at 7 to allow some time for socialising etc. I do suggest coming before 7 though, because at 7 they close their pub menu kitchen, and their bangers and mash are not be missed. Pizzas are available after 7.
For those folks who don't have many finds to their name, don't worry, we'll team you up with one of the more experienced teams, and a handicap system will also be in place, to even out the teams based on number of finds.
As overseas finds don't help, these will be removed from your total, and possibly a percentage of your non-WC finds (if I'm feeling kind) so could all teams come armed with the stats of how many finds they have outside SA, and how many finds outside WC.
Oh, please bring a pen along as well.
Although this is really for the fun of it, prizes never hurt, so anyone wishing to donate prizes (anything will do, don't be shy!), let me know.
And, no, those folks with G3, GPRS, GPSr's, HSPDA, WIFI, Palm pilots, GAD etc will not be allowed to use their technology to look up the answers! Only pure caching experience and brain power is allowed, or you shall be banned from all future caching in WC, and perhaps Erik will be kind enough to delete your profiles if caught cheating :o)
You might want to all go on a caching binge this weekend an on Saturday before quiz to boost your knowledge!
