This cache is near Muck Lake in the sand country of eastern Douglas County, and a small portion of the lake is in Bayfield County. Most of the land around the lake is forest crop land so there are no cabins yet. Lake levels in this area have been dropping for several years and this one is no exception, as you will see.
The cache is an ammo box and it's a fairly short walk along the lakeshore to find it. Bring along a fishpole and some worms and you might be able to catch some panfish for a shore lunch. At the least, you can always eat the worms!
**Since I first posted this cache in 2007 the lake levels in this area have gone up substantially are are nearly up to normal levels.
