The caches contain the usual items PLUS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION so that you can find out more about the history of farming in this interesting and beautiful area.
The cache is so called because when placing the cache an elderly gentleman approached us telling us that his mother and her friends used to clog dance on the flat rocks in the river here, just by the old limestone quarry - what an echo they must have made! Shut your eyes and listen carefully, you might just hear those echoes.......

There is an infrequent bus service to Dent from Sedbergh and Kendal. Dent railway station has regular trains but be aware it’s a good 2 miles down to the village (and back uphill on the return!).
