Geocache Description:

As you arrive in this small town recreation complex, you will see baseball fields and a community swimming pool. You can park near the cache. Be especially alert for muggles out fishing or walking their dogs.

The cache is a small loc-n-loc with room for logbook and some small trades. Please make sure the container is well hidden. and try to avoid creating a geo-trail.

Crestline is known for its youth baseball programs over the years. The full size baseball field you see here was built in 1963. Many of us young baseball enthusiasts helped with the construction and sodding of the field. It was that same summer that all star teams from two neighboring states came to Crestline to play the Ohio champs composed of players from Crestline, New Washington and Ontario. The Ohio boys won the tourney and the right to continue to Hershey, PA for the National Teener League Tournament. It was a big deal.

Forty years later a reunion was held (2003). Many of these now not so young men gathered to remember the glory days, before computer games, when summers were spent playing baseball all day long. We even tried to play again to the great amusement of our families. BYOP.
