Geocache Description:

Located along the Sandy Creek Trail... 1.5 mile walk on paved trail, short walk down dirt path.

This cache was hidden for our oldest son - Thing1 (born 11/2000). It is hidden along one of his favorite trails near a creek. Park at the Sandy Creek Trailhead in Belmar and go east across the river. Travel over the next 2 smaller bridges and take the small dirt path on the right just over that second bridge. You will not have to cross the creek. The cache is about 1.5 miles from the parking area. Our 6 year old had an easy time hiding this... our 3 year old rode in the stroller and walked down the dirt path with little aide. The cache is a gray, nalgene water bottle. It contains a race car, plastic frog, football, 2 dinosaurs, minicard set, 2 backpack clips, 2 army guys, a fish, and a bracelet. It contains a TRAVEL BUG - Greg's Grasshopper. Greg's Grasshopper would like to see how far it can travel before he graduates high school in 2019. When the leaves are on the trees, or during a thunderstorm (as when placed), your GPS may jump around a bit.

Thing1 and Thing2 near the cache site. Sandy Creek is beautiful here.

Bumped the difficulty rating up to 2 due to heavy tree coverage in the summer... and the hill seems to throw some people off.
