This is the first of a series of 3 caches that are intended to familiarize you with a very special area of the Seeley Lake region of the Lolo National Forest. This cache is hidden just a short walk from the parking lot of an historic group camp. If the camp is not open, you will not be able to drive beyond the gate; however visitors are welcome to walk around the gate and respectfully explore the grounds. The cache is not near any building and does not involve traversing any sensitive vegetation. There is no need to impact or modify any landscaping. Muggles may be present from late May through September when the camp is occupied. Be discreet. Bring a pen or pencil, as the cache is a micro with room only for a log scroll.
After finding this fairly easy cache, enjoy a stroll around these historic and scenic grounds. If you encounter the caretakers, let them know that you are a geo-cacher. They are aware of this cache.
