no need to brush whack,fisher men have pretty well packed it down. Parking at N44.44.832 W089.43 621.
This parking area is known to old timers as slough bribge.Befor du bay was flooded,there was a homestead on Big Island and a bridge went over a spot that would always flood at high water times.The piers are still on the island side and the home foundation.Big Island was a wildlife, waterfoul state refuge ,No hunting.till about the mid 1970sIt was this time that they were developing the Mead wildlife area for waterfoul and it became more atracting so the ducks left dubay.Befor that it was a real sight to see thousands of ducks here.
